Dr. Lester B. J. “Les” Wiseman
1932-2017
WISEMAN, Dr. Lester Berkley John. Passed peacefully with grace and
dignity on Monday, December 25, 2017 at the Mahone Nursing Home,
Mahone Bay. Les, in his 85th year, was the loved husband of Isobel
MacKenzie Wiseman. Loving father of Barry(wife Sheila),
Lesley(deceased) and Chris(wife Jane). Proud grandfather of Braeden,
Ethan, David, Jonathan, James and Eliza. Les was born in Little Bay
Islands, Newfoundland. He graduated as a medical doctor from
Dalhousie University, practiced in the Mahone Bay area, obtained his
Anesthesiologist designation from McGill University, then moved to
Mississauga, Ontario, where he practiced until his retirement. Les
and his wife Isobel retired to Indian Point, Mahone Bay. Funeral
service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2018, at Trinity
United Church, Mahone Bay. Reception to follow at the church. The
family requests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer Society.
