Douglas Vincent Bolin – 2017

2017
It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas Vincent Bolin announces his passing on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the age of 59 years. Doug was born in Stettler, Alberta on August 31, 1958 to parents, Olga and Martin Bolin and was the 4th of 6 children. He grew up in the Erskine area and attended school in Erskine and Stettler.
The most positive moments and thoughts of his life were of his children, Daniel born in 1988 and Jessica in 1992. In the early years, he worked long and hard to provide for his family and in his spare time, enjoyed being with his kids and also working with his horses, golfing, hunting and the occasional trip up north to remote fishing areas.
Doug worked at many jobs until 1986 when he and Andy Pochlko started up Doug’s Tank Truck Service. That was his pride and joy and he worked continuously to turn it into the thriving business that it became before it was sold in 2006.
Doug is survived by his; his children Daniel and Jessica;their mother Monica; his siblings Bob (Cathy), Pat (Lori),Louise Matier (Russ Bish), Joyce (Bernie) Strome and their families and his brother in law Clayton Lambert;other relatives and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his parentsand his sister Darla Lambert.
