Douglas Allen passed away on March 26, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on August 21, 1929 in St. Paul, Alberta. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Pamela Mary; parents Walter and Mabel Allen; brothers Walter and John and sisters Edith Reynolds, Jessie Reynolds, Grace Allen and Beatrice Allen. He is survived by his step-children; Alec Malcomson (Linda), Port Alberni, Ian Malcomson (Belle), Victoria, Lindsay Winter (Ralph), Victoria and their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his nieces; Barbara Descoteau (Allan), Parksville, Margaret McCullum, Burnaby, Caroline (Roy) Bainbridge, Port Coquitlam and nephews Richard (Lori) Reynolds, Port Alberni and Donald McCullum, Surrey.
A small Graveside Service with be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 1:30 pm at the Alberni Valley Memorial Gardens, Port Alberni, BC. A huge thank you to the staff at Douglas House of Mt. St. Mary Hospital for the loving care given to Douglas the past three years. He “would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” Condolences may be offered to the family below.
