Death Notice
Peacefully with his family by his side at Marshall Gowland Manor, Douglas Shelton passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Carol Shelton. Loving father of Owen (Sheri) Shelton and Matthew (Laura) Shelton. Cherished grandfather of Holly, Jaxon, Jacob, Mitchell and Tyler. Doug will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Doug worked as manager at Lambton Generating Station for 14 years. A special thank you to the caregivers at Marshall Gowland Manor for their admirable care over the past year, and to Sumac Lodge the previous year. A special thank you to Rev. D. Greenough and Dr. W.M. Prendiville for their help and support. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at GRACE UNITED CHURCH, 990 Cathcart Blvd., Sarnia, on Monday November 27, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Liver Foundation, Lunches for Learning at Grace United Church, or a charity of your choice. (cheques only at the funeral home please).
