Husband of the late Thelma (Lewis) Kidd. Doug was loved by his stepchildren Wally and Gerry Wilkinson of Mount Forest, Lloyd and Sandra Wilkinson of Waterloo, Wayne and Dianne Wilkinson of St. Clements, Art Kammerer of Mount Forest, by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law Evelyn Kidd of Toronto, Nellie Allan of Fordwich, and Irene Nelson of Mount Forest, and brother-in-law Norman Lewis of Listowel.
Predeceased by his parents Garbutt and Valeria (Smith) Kidd, stepdaughter Marion Kammerer, stepson Mervyn Wilkinson, brothers Harold, Donald, and Clarence Kidd and by his sister Kathleen Snell.

On September 15, 1973, Doug and Thelma were married. They were faithful members at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Listowel where he enjoyed singing in the choir. Doug loved his family, reading, singing, many winters in Florida, and a game of cards, crib, pool, lawn bowling, and shuffling.
Visitation will be held at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Listowel, on Saturday, February 4th at from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Ralph Dwarika officiating.
Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
Memorial donations to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Listowel Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
