BOTTOMLEY, DOUGLAS ARTHUR
Peacefully at Spencer House on Friday December 2, 2016 with his wife by his side, Douglas Arthur Bottomley, age 93. He left to join his parents and his siblings as well as many friends. He was born in South River and also lived in Gravenhurst and Toronto before settling in Orillia. He was a Pilot Instructor in the R.C.A.F. during WWII and a Menswear Traveller before and after that. During his life time he enjoyed being a traveller, a curler, a golfer and a sports fan. He was a member of the Travellers Executive, A.C.T./U.C.T., Ys Mens, Equity Lodge, Orillia Curling Club, Couchiching Golf Club, and The Royal Canadian Legion. He enjoyed his friendship with many. Douglas is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, sons Jim (Deb) & David (Sarah) and grandson Damian. Following cremation visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Friday afternoon, December 9, 2016 from 1 PM until time of Memorial Service at 3 PM. If desired, memorial Donations to the Ontario Junior Golf Association or the Residence Council at Spencer House would be appreciated.
