Obituary for Doug Walker
With heavy hearts the family of Doug Walker of Wyoming announces his passing on March 15, 2017 at the age of 34. Beloved husband to Ashley Marshall for 16 years. Loving father to Rachel and Trevor Walker. Adoring son to Daniel and Alexandra Walker and Deborah and Darryl Ayris, son-in-law to Mike and Shannon Powell. Dear brother to Rebecca and Graham Atchison, step-brother to Mitch Walker, Miranda McGill and Kris Hennick and brother-in-law to Leah Powell. Loving grandson to Bill and Judy Walker, Elly Ayris, Rosemary and Dave Powell. Doug will be dearly missed by his vast extended family, friends and co-workers. Doug was a bit of a daredevil. He loved skydiving, snowmobiling, was an avid NASCAR fan and felt a deep connection to the outdoors. Doug cherished his time at the cottage, swimming with his family in the pool and the lake. Apart from building boats, Doug was true handyman. He crafted school projects, fixed cars and accomplished many home improvements; he was a true master. He adored his family and friends and the precious time he spent with them. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Sunday at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, 4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 11am.
