Obituary of Dorothy Stuivenberg
Stuivenberg, Dorothy
Dorothy died peacefully with her family by her side at Dearness Long Term Care Home, London ON, on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the age of 91.
Dorothy was born in Ferwerd, Holland, and was the daughter of the late Hendrik and Trijntje (Stelpstra) Dijkstra. She was a longtime resident of Chatham and an active longtime member of First Christian Reformed Church, Chatham. Her family and her faith meant everything to her.
Her immense gratitude and thankfulness for everyone that touched her life is the legacy that she leaves behind.
Beloved wife of the late Marinus Jacobus Stuivenberg. (2001).
Dear mother of Tina and Ralph Vyn of Belmont, Arthur and Dorothy Stuivenberg of Surrey, B.C., Maria and Russell Reid of Wawa and Henrietta and Pat Bowes of Calgary.
Proud Oma of, Matthew (Rachel), Anya (Jordan), Christine (Jason), Marcus, Scott (Meagan), Brian, Marcus (Shannon), Tia (Devyn), Kaitlin and Kyle and great-grandson Oxley.
Sister of Boukje Vellema and Lukie Prins of Holland.
Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m.
A Funeral Service will take place at First Christian Reformed Church, 25 Tweedsmuir Ave., E., Chatham, ON, on Monday August 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Peter Hogeterp, officiating.
Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Dorothy to Bibles For Missions Thrift Store, Chatham, ON, would be appreciated.
