Dorothy Mildred was born to Fay and Marie Kirby January 11, 1928 in Avolea, Saskatchewan. She married James Halbert from Truax, Saskatchewan on November 6, 1946. In 1953 they moved to Nanton, Alberta. James passed away in 1989 and Dorothy married Jim Davis of Vulcan, Alberta in 1994. Jim Davis passed away in 2003 and Dorothy moved to Sundre. Dorothy was predeceased by her brothers Glen, Fabian, Francis and Mervin and her sisters Evelyn Eagleson, Vernice Halbert and Ardell McNamara and daughter-in-law… Mary. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Isabelle and LaDon Kirby, She also leaves her loving family: Daryl (Laverne); Shawn (Gianna), Aiden, Donovan; Cindy (Christopher Faupel), Spencer. David (Dianne); Glen (Annette), Tanner, Corbin; Darlene Lafreniere, Hayden, Kaitlin. Fay (Miles Adcock); Tim (Shelley), Drew Teske; Charlene (Darrick Hughes), Easton, Duncan, Dahlia; Christopher (Krystal), Parker, Davis. Brenda (Ken Burrell), Steven (Valerie), Denise, Heidi; Lynnette (Rob Newton); Jennifer Day, Braden, Carson, Austin; Corinna (Luther Cooke). Sheryl (Brian Comstock) Nikki (Darren Waltz); Drusilla, Chet, Avonlea, Stratton; Wes (Janie), Colt, Ruger. Dale Halbert; Amanda (Brett Turcato); Kristie (Casey West). Dorothy was also blessed with many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. The memory of Dorothy will be shared with the family of William James (Jim) Davis. A Funeral Service will be held at the Nanton Community Memorial Centre, Nanton, AB. On Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Nanton Cemetery. If desired, in memory of Dorothy, memorial donations may be made to the Sundre Palliative Care Society, Box 1529, Sundre, AB., T0M 1X0.
