In Loving Memory of Dorothy McElwain (nee Vick)
Passed away peacefully at the Haliburton Hospital on Friday, January 6, 2017with her loving family by her side. At the age of 96.
Beloved wife of the late Kenneth McElwain (1988). Loving mother of Kirk (Julie) of Elora, Rick (the late Debbie) of Lindsay, Mike (Maureen) of Millbrook, Rocky (deceased 1991), and Trent of Gelert. Loving gramma of Christopher (Khiya), Allyson (Andrew), Ryan (Charlene), Shane (Giovanna), Joshua (Judith), Daniel and great gramma of Montana, Emily and Mason. Predeceased by her brother Robert and by her sisters Wilhelmine and May. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Friends are invited to visit the family at the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., 127 Bobcaygeon Rd., P.O. Box 427, Minden K0M 2K0 on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. A Service to Celebrate Dorothy’s Life will be held in the Chapel at the Funeral Home on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 636, Minden. Spring Interment at the Gelert Cemetery.
Memorial Donations to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation Palliative Care Centre (HHHSF) would be appreciated by the family.
