Obituary for Dorothy May Giffin
Dorothy Giffin , 97, formerly of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Fairview Mennonite Home in Cambridge on Saturday November 25, 2017.
Cherished wife of the late Gord Fleischman (1979) and the late John Giffin (2002). Loving mother of Donna Hill of Sarnia. Dear grandmother of Cathy Passingham (Neil), Susan Vroom, and John Bloomfield and great grandmother of Dylan Vroom.Also survived by her sister Grace Mecredy.Dorothy will be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Mark and Emma Salvoy, sister Marie Malcho (Earl), son-in-law Gordon Hill, grandson Terry Bloomfield (1966) and brother-in-law Tom Mecredy.
Dorothy operated Dorothy May Beauty Salon on Huron Street until 1971.
Friends will be received at Rutherford Cremation and Funeral Services, 804 Ontario St., unit C11, Stratford, on Wednesday November 29, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment at Avondale Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Laustsen officiating.
