LOCKYER, Dorothy Mildred (nee MacNeill)
Peacefully passed away with family by her side at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge, on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 87 years of age. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jack. Loving mother of Warren (Connie), John Lockyer, Sue Green (Gary), Jim Lockyer (Kathryn), and Patricia Williams (David). Cherished and devoted grandmother of Rebecca (Lauchie), Adam (Caitlin), Margaret, Hannah, Jeffrey (Rebecca), Colin and Heather. Predeceased by brothers Donald (Mary), Bruce (Ruby), Murray (Phyllis). Dorothy is survived by much loved sister-in-law Mary, and by many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was a cherished friend to many, and a woman who loved her family above anything else. The family wishes to thank Dr. Parker, the Nurses, PSW’s, staff and volunteers of the Fairview Mennonite Home for their wonderful care, support and friendship given to Mom over the years. We will be forever grateful. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7th from 11:30 to 1:30 pm with the Celebration of Life Service following at 2:00 pm at Fairview Mennonite Home, 515 Langs Drive, Cambridge, ON, N3H 4L6. Family invite friends and relatives for refreshments in the dining room following the service.
As expressions of sympathy, donations in Dorothy’s memory made to Fairview Mennonite Home or the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Lounsbury Funeral Home.
