Dorothy Craig

CRAIG, Dorothy (nee Lang)
Passed away, at home, with her daughter Lynne McCutcheon (Gledhill) and son-in-law Ken by her side on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husband, David (1988) and her brother William (2009). Dorothy was born in Yorkshire, England and moved to Canada in 1971. She was a loyal and caring lady who will always be remembered for her warm smile and the twinkle in her eye. She had an incredibly positive attitude towards life and in spite of any challenges thrown in her path her indomitable spirit and joie de vivre were an inspiration to all who knew her. Dorothy and Lynne had a very close relationship and always enjoyed their annual Mother and Daughter trip to Florida, a tradition they continued until a couple of years ago. Dorothy will be dearly missed by her extended Craig, McLean, and McCutcheon families, as well as friends and family in England and Canada. Private cremation has taken place and at Dorothy’s request there will be no funeral service. A Memorial Gathering will take place at a later date. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. (Arrangements entrusted to SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, BURLINGTON 905-632-3333.)
