It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Catherine Roberts announce her passing on Friday, October 24th,2017 at her family residence surrounded by her family in her 84th year. She will be sadly missed by her children, Edna ( Don ) Dwyer of Curling, Joyce House of Daniels Harbour, Jerry ( Joy ) of Rocky Harbour, Linda ( Rick ) Smith of Brampton, Clarence ( Jacqueline ) of St. Paul’s, Roger ( Dawn ) of Fort McMurray, Jocelyn ( Brian ) Paul of Rocky Harbour, Darrell ( Audrey ) of Brampton, Patsy ( Mike ) Crocker of Cambridge, Inez ( Jon Biggin ) of Sally’s Cove, Iris ( Winston ) Bennett of Mississauga, Malcolm ( Denise ) of Sally’s Cove and Pamela ( Ralph ) Gill of Rocky Harbour. 21 grandchildren, Donald, Lisa, Dennis, Brent, Sarah, Lucinda, Tara, Travis, Karen, Crerena, Christopher, Crystal, Scott, Melissa, Sheryl, Sonya, Ronika, Brittany, Jonathan, Monte, Aaron and Ryan. 22 great-grandchildren. Her sisters Olive ( Harold ) Payne of Norris Point, Mona ( Curt ) Payne of McIver’s, Marilyn of Sally’s Cove ,brothers Calvin Roberts of Corner Brook, Bob ( Doreen ) Roberts of Rocky Harbour, Clarence ( Lisa ) Roberts of Corner Brook, Malcolm Roberts of Sallys Cove, Ray ( Paulette ) of Pasadena. Her in –laws Margaret ( Hedley ) Payne of Rocky Harbour, Rella Guinchard, and Edna Nash both of New York, Shirley Hayden of Brantford, and Corrie Roberts of Sally’s Cove. Also a large circle of relatives and friends. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Clarence ( Bud ), daughter Marion, parents Reg & Hilda Roberts, sisters Beulah and Rella, grandsons Craig House and Ryan Bennett and granddaughter Elizabeth Roberts. Visitation will take place from the Anglican Church in Sally’s Cove on Saturday, November 25th from 7-9pm. and Sunday November 26th 2-4 and 7-9pm. where also funeral service will take place on Monday, November 27th,2017 with Canon Terry Rose officiating.
