Doris passed away after a brief illness at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital.
She was born in Kaslo, BC and lived in Crawford Bay until moving to Trail where she met her husband and began her career at Eatons.
Doris and her husband Lucien had a summer home at Kootenay Bay, along with her brother and sister and their families where they enjoyed many summers.
After retirement Doris and Lucien spent many winters in Arizona at Apache Junction.
Doris spent the last 8 years of her life at Rosewood Village in assisted living, where she was treated with dignity and met many new friends. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Rosewood for caring for Doris while she lived there.
Doris did not have children, but is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Lucien, her brother Owen, her sister Phyllis Trozzo and her brother Dennis Deverson.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Doctor Yo and the nurses on the 3rd floor; special thanks to Sam.
Cremation has taken place; there will be a family memorial at a later date. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangments. You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.
