Obituary Overview
Donalda Hazel Philomen Warden (nee Brabant),
Donalda Hazel Philomen Warden (nee Brabant), 79, wife, mother and dear friend to all, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary after a stubborn battle with her heart. Born March 12, 1938 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to Augustin and Fern Brabant (nee Stewart).
If her actual heart had been as big and powerful as the heart she had for others, she would have outlived us all.
Don’t think of her as gone away
her journey’s just begun
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days or years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched
for nothing loved is ever lost
and she was loved so much.
Donalda is survived by Horace Warden, her dear husband of 34 years, brothers Wayne Brabant, Brian Brabant and Gary O’Keefe. Sisters Shirley Bradley and Sharon Nicholas. Her own kids and spouses, Dean (Vonda) McConnell, Sherry (Kerry) Reaman, Mark McConnell and Lorne McConnell. Grandkids Jason, Janelle, Vanessa, Genna and Darian. Plus great grandkids Courtney, Noah, Audrey, Quinn, Vincent, Owen, Cordelia and Conner. Her Father, one son, Darcy Clint Hunter McConnell and one grandson, Matthew Paul McConnell preceded her in death.
