Peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Wednesday afternoon, February 22nd, 2017. Donald Eugene Ward, of Owen Sound, at the age of 65 years. Devoted husband of Sheila Ward (nee Griffin) for 40 years. Loving father of Angie Johns and her husband, Scott, of Waterloo and Darryl Ward and his wife, Jody, of Balmy Beach. Proud grandfather of McKenna, Griffin and Hailey. Dearly loved son of Eugene and Lois Ward (nee Torrie), of Owen Sound. Dear brother of Tim Ward (Marsha), of Meaford, David Ward (Tammy), of Georgetown and brother-in-law of Garry Griffin (Nancy), Paul Griffin (Janice), John Griffin (Terri) and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents-in-law, Melvin and Thelma Griffin.
Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Monday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service for Don Ward will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday, February 28th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kristal McGee officiating. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation for Oncology, the Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce, the V.O.N. or the charity of your choice as an expression of sympathy.
