It is with heavy hearts that the family of
Donald John Lyons announces his passing, which occurred at his home on
Friday, September 8, 2017.Born in Saint John, NB on May 12, 1951; he
was a son of the late Roy and Theresa (Johnson)
Lyons.
Donnie loved driving taxi and did it for 30
years, he was an avid dart player, loved Karaoke nights and the
biggest Detroit Red Wings fan ever. He loved music,
especially Bob Seger and AC/DC. He is survived by his
brothers Jim Lyons (Loretta) of Grand Bay – Westfield and Darrell
Lyons (Myle) of Mississauga, ON; sister, Sharon Ann Lyons of Saint
John; ‘brother’: Kevin Little (Glorea); aunt:
Betty Flannigan; nieces: Pamela Blanchard (David); Theresa Gordon
(Paul), Tanya Campbell (Mark), Ashley Lyons, Sheila Little, Melissa
Lyons, Serena Little, and Nancy; nephew: Trung; as well as many
cousins.
Resting at Brenan’s
Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB
(634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, September 14,
2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 12 noon from St. Pius X
Church, 316 Somerset Street. Interment will take place in Ocean View
Memorial Gardens on Friday, September 22, 2017. Donations may be made
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or a
charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be
