Passed peacefully away on October 30, 2017 at Carbonear General Hospital after a long and Courageous battle with cancer, Donald John Blundon of Heart’s Content, age 74 years. Predeceased by father his Frank and brothers Daniel, Glenn and Earl. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Shirley of 52 years, mother Olga, children Greg (Charlotte), Jeffrey (Roma), and Denise (Robin), grandchildren Garrett (Shay), Hannah, Dawn, Cassidy, Isaac, Cameron and Chelsea, great granddaughter Aila, brothers Carson (Nettie), Ray (Alma) and Frank, sisters Evelyn (Rick) and Annie (Les), sister in law Nancy as well as numerous relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the palliative care unit at the Carbonear General Hospital and the many friends and family members whose support was greatly appreciated. Resting at Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton. Visiting hours Wednesday and Thursday, November 1st and 2nd 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday November 3 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Heart’s Content. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Heart’s Content. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Church or the Carbonear General Hospital Pallative Care Unit (TCP Foundation).
