Obituary for Donald Gibson
. Peacefully, with his family by his side at C.E.E. Hospital, Petrolia on Monday, March 27, 2017. DONALD LLOYD GIBSON, of Petrolia, was in his 82nd year. He was the loving husband of 57 years to Marilyn (nee Stephenson). He was the loved father to Lynn and Mike Villalta and Lyse Gibson and Ryan DeBattista., grandfather to James Stotts and Karley Bailey, and great grandfather Leila Michelle Stotts. Don was predeceased by two grandchildren, Stuart Michael Villalta (2006) and Michelle Lee-Ann Stotts (1999). Don was a brother to Gayle and June Gibson and Graham Gibson, all of Toronto. Don was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 216, C.E.E. Hospital Auxiliary, and was former Canadian JCI Senator. Don retired from Suncor and was a member of Local 663 of the Plumbers and Pipefitters. Visitors will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. The Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a memorial service on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. Interment will be at a later time in Hillsdale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the C.E.E. Hospital Foundation or the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 216.
