Donald “Donnie” E.L. Justason
1930-2017
At the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on February 6, 2017,
Donald Edwin Leonard Justason, husband of Hazel P. (Bates) Justason of
Pennfield. Born in Pennfield on October 19, 1930, he was a son of the
late Edgar W.M. and Clara M. (Conley) Justason. A loving husband,
father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife, Hazel,
Donnie is survived by one son, Dr. Stephen L. Justason (Iris) of
Sussex; grandchildren: Tyler and Melissa; one brother, Sheldon
Justason (Joan) of Pennfield; sister, Marjorie Hatt of Blacks Harbour
and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Donnie
was predeceased by a grandson, Jason; two brothers: Windsor and Wilmot
and one sister, Theresa Anderson.
Donald was first employed than owned and operated Anderson’s Garage.
He worked there the majority of his life. Donald was devoted and a
had a love of working on cars into the wee hours of the morning. He
was a member of the Masonic Lodge #12 FA/AM in St. George. He was a
true work-a-holic when he wasn’t working on cars, Donald was in the
woods cutting fire wood, gardening or plowing with his tractor.
Arrangements are in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533)
26 Portage Street, St. George. A private family visitation will take
place. The public Funeral Service will be held from Pennfield Baptist
Church on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Reg Ward
officiating. Interment will take place in Pennfield Rural Cemetery in
the Spring. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Pennfield Baptist
Church or the Fundy Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.
