It is with deep sorrow that the family of Donald George Currie of
Cambridge, ON, announces the passing of their beloved father,
grandfather and friend on Monday March 6, 2017. He is survived by his
children Tania (Greg) of Parkhill, ON, Donald (Kaitlin) of Cambridge,
ON and Archie (Christine) of Turner Valley, AB; as well as his seven
grandchildren Emma, Alissa, Holly, Donald, Hannah, Abby and Tyler.
Donald was a brother-in-law and uncle to many and a great friend to
countless others. His zest for life, humour, passion for Cuba and
love for his family inspired many and will be carried in the hearts of
those who had the privilege and honour of knowing and loving this
great man. We love you dad and will miss you and carry you in our
hearts always. At Donald’s request Cremation has taken place.
There will be no visitation or formal funeral service, a Celebration
of Life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend a
heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Sakura House Hospice for their
extraordinary care of our dearly loved father. In lieu of cards and
gifts, please consider a donation to the VON Sakura House Hospice in
Woodstock, ON in honour of Donald George Currie.
