Donald Bromilow died peacefully at his home in Kirkland Lake, Ontario on January 4, 2017 at the age of 60. Born in Kapuskasing, he moved to Kirkland Lake in the early 1980s. He worked for the past 20 years at Siemens, repairing and rewinding electric motors. One of his hobbies was collecting and restoring antique radios. He also kept busy with woodworking and scroll saw projects, creating beautiful pieces which he shared with friends and family.
Donald is survived by his parents, Daniel and Marguerite Bromilow of Kapuskasing, sisters Brenda Babin (Paul) of Renfrew, Ontario and Catherine Bromilow (Doug Brooks) of Chester, New Jersey. He was also uncle to Devin Babin (Allison), McNab Braeside and Sarah Crawford (Kyle) of Guelph, and great uncle to Félix Babin. He was a friend to many in Kirkland Lake and beyond, including those he camped with every summer.
A memorial service will be held at the Kapuskasing Baptist Church, 93 Mundy Avenue, Kapuskasing, Ontario on April 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.

This breaks my heart to hear of Don’s passing. I wish I had heard sooner. What a shock. He was Mike’s best friend for years and they are now together again Such sad news. RIP dear Don and say hello to Mike,Don, Little John,and Bill for us. Condolences to all his family and friends. He was such a gentle and kind man. 🙁
