Death Notice
WINDER, E. Dixon – Peacefully at home with family by his side on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, Edward Dixon Winder of London in his 73rd year. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Linda, sons Lawson, Ashley (Simone), Harrison, sister Elaine. Proud grandfather of Noelle, Hayden and the late Easton. Son of the late Edward Melville Winder and Lois (Johnson) Winder.
Dixon practiced law in London for many years. He was a Charter member of North London Rotary and long-time member of Oakridge Lodge. He was also a devout long-time member of St. John the Divine Anglican Church, Arva where he quietly served in many leadership roles. An avid outdoorsman, he loved skiing, boating, fishing and hunting.
Visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond. The memorial service will be conducted at St. John the Divine Anglican Church, 21557 Richmond Street, Arva, on Monday, September 11 at 11 am. Private interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to London Memorial Boys’ and Girls’ Club, Mission Services London, or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
