It is with great sadness that the family of
the late DIXON GEORGE STRICKLAND of
Fortune announce his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health
Care Centre on Sunday, September 10th ,
2017, at the age of 72. Leaving to mourn with fond
and loving memories are wife, Georgina of 50 years; Sons: Ronald
Strickland of Nova Scotia, Michael Strickland (Nicole) of Fortune;
Daughter: Juanita Strickland (Glen) of Fortune; Brothers: James
Strickland (Dianne), Ronald Strickland (Bernie); Sisters-in-Law; Edna
Strickland, Ethel Stacey (Alfred); Four Grandchildren:
Bradley, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Joshua; Two Great-Grandchildren: Benjamin
Isaacs, Ryan Antle; plus a large circle of relatives and
friends. Pre-deceased by Baby Son; Parents: Garfield and
Grace Strickland; Sister: Renee; Brother: Max; Nephew: Wayne
Strickland.
Resting and visitation to take place from
Wiseman’s Funeral Homes, Fortune, on Wednesday, September
13th , from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and
7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held
on Thursday, September 14th, at 2:00
p.m.
Interment to follow at the Salvation Army
Cemetery in Fortune. In Dixon’s memory donations may be made
to The Family. No flowers by the request of the
family.
