Dennis Fillmore Young
1945-2017
Unexpectedly at his residence in Utopia NB on March 18, 2017, Dennis
Fillmore Young. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on May 8, 1945, he was a son
of the late Preston and Mildred (Baldwin) Young. A loving father and
brother, Dennis is survived by one son: Paul (Leigh) Young of St.
George NB; one daughter: Kelly Young of Ottawa ON; brothers: Eric,
Stevie and Ricky; sisters: Diane, Carol, Mary, Catherine, Susan and
Jackie; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his
parents, Dennis was predeceased by one brother: Ralph.
Prior to retirement, Dennis worked as a Mechanic for many years. An
avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, he was also known as the
family’s “Mr. Fix It” who enjoyed tinkering around with all
kinds of different projects.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and health care
providers who have shown compassion and care for Dennis over the
years, especially Kelly Winsor, your support and kindness will always
been cherished.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. There will be no visitation. A memorial
service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, March 24,
2017 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Reg Ward officiating. In Dennis’ memory,
donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by
the family.
