Denise McWilliam – 2017

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Denise McWilliam, of Shediac, at the age of 65, on Wednesday, March 22. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Bessie Geldart.
She leaves behind her two daughters: Sherisse McWilliam (Chris) and Andrea Cook (Andrew); her four grandchildren: Rachel, Samantha, Grace and Josiah; two sisters: Sandra Tingley (Micheal) and Jean Murray (Ray); her former husband and life-long friend, Frederick McWilliam as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Denise was a graduate of Harrison Trimble High School and the NBCC marketing program. She enjoyed a rewarding sales career, mostly in the media markets, having worked for ATV, C103, Times & Transcript and 91.9 The Bend. Denise was also very proud to have accomplished the distinction of C.R.M. gold level in Customer Relationship Management and other marketing awards. She was a member of the Moncton Wesleyan Church, having participated in the choir, The Living Christmas Tree and two mission trips to Mexico. She was also a past board member for the Moncton Crisis Pregnancy Center.
Denise enjoyed many interests, including having been a finalist in the Miss Moncton Pageant, modeling with Ruth Barnes, participated in equestrian competitions and dog shows. She also found great peace in kayaking on Shediac Bay. But her greatest passion was family and aiding children worldwide.
There will be a gathering for family and friends at the Fair Haven Funeral Home (1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton N-B) on Sunday, March 26, from 1:00pm to 2:30pm. There will be a private family service at a later time.
In memory of Denise, a donation to Compassion Canada, the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
