Denise Marie Larivee
March 29, 1961 – January 7, 2017
At 11:51 AM on the morning of Saturday January 7th, Leduc RCMP received a call of a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Glen Park Road and Highway 795. Upon arrival, one female driver was found deceased. In the same vehicle of the deceased were two children, both taken by ground ambulance to a hospital in Edmonton.
Denise Marie Larivee (Paradis) was tragically taken last Saturday but the family is so thankful that her granddaughters were spared.
Denise was born to parents Lucien & Rejeanne Paradis. She was raised along with big brother Roland and younger sister Helen, in Wetaskiwin. Denise lived her 55 years along with most of her family in this community. She was raised in a large, loving French Canadian family surrounded by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and music.
Dan & Denise Larivee were married August 5, 2000. She was his best friend.
Denise was selfless and always put her family first. She proudly raised three sons, Robert, Ryan & Russell. The boys have all blessed her with grandchildren which she adored and spent most of her spare time with. It is no surprise that on her last day she was driving out to celebrate her youngest granddaughter’s first birthday, following son Ryan and accompanied by granddaughters, Hailey & Kaydence. Denise was surrounded by her family until the end.
Denise was a hard & loyal worker and was always juggling a couple jobs. Avenue Living, City of Wetaskiwin, Denham Ford, Schwaab and Adams Motors knew her well.
Those who knew & loved Denise will remember her big SMILE & enormous HEART. Her unexpected departure will leave a huge void in many hearts.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Dan Larivee; father, Lucien (Ida) Paradis; and mother, Rejeanne Paradis. Denise will be dearly missed by her sons, Robert (Carrie) Paradis, Ryan (Jolaine) Bailer and Russell (Jen) Bailer. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Klarissa, Riley, Milania Bailer, along with Hailey & Kaydence Paradis. Denise will be forever cherished by her siblings, Roland (Yolanda) Paradis, Helen (Ron) Macahonic, Adrian Paradis, and Vicki (Richard) Jaburek. She will lovingly remembered by her in-laws, Phil & Lucy Larivee; brothers-in-law, Don (Kathy) Larivee, and Norm Larivee. Denise was loved by her nieces and nephews: Desyre & Dustin Macahonic, Nathan, Nicola & Justina Paradis, Krystal, Patrick & Melanie as well as Jaime.
Family & friends wish this was just a dream.
A Funeral Service will be held at Baker Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 2:00 PM with cremation following the service.
