It is with great sadness that the family of Denis Maheu of Chatham, in his 65th year, announce his passing on Thursday December 28th, 2017 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice surrounded by his loving family. Cherished son of the late Gilbert and Hélène (Bosman) Maheu and cherished son-in-law of Omer and Gratienne Caron of Chatham. Beloved partner of Sylvie Caron. Loving father of Stephanie Maheu and Caroline Maheu (Justin Blank), and loving step-father of Eric Caron (Lindsay), and Michelle Poissant (Craig). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jade, Mathias, Bianka, Katrina, Ethan, Esmée, Troy, and Grayson. Dear brother of Diane Maheu, and Richard Maheu. Predeceased by his sister Sylvie Maheu. Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington Street West, Chatham, 519-352-2710, on Friday December 29th visiting from 7 to 9 p.m. Parish Prayers will take place at 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculée Conception Roman Catholic Church, 24152 Winterline Road, Pain Court, on Saturday December 30th at 10:30 a.m. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the charity of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
