Obituary for Delmer Ernest “Del” Rue
Delmer Ernest Rue was born November 11th, 1930 in Saskatoon, SK, the first child to Harold and Mary Rue (nee Oleksyn). Del lived in the Young/Watrous area where he farmed for many years before moving to Saskatoon in the early 90’s to pursue a career in real estate. He passed away at the Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon on Sunday, Dec 3rd, 2017. Left to mourn are his sister Doris Evans, son Doug (Janice) Rue; grandchildren Suzanne (Steven) Rue-Peter, Dillon Rue, Jackson Rue; and great-grandson Ethan; step-children Sherry (Barry) Shouse and children Kelsey and Spencer, Shelly Boschman, Dean (Jamie) Boschman and family, Stuart (Lorraine) Boschman and family; as well as cherished extended family and dear friends. Del was predeceased by his parents Harold and Mary; wife Susan Rue (nee Penner); brother-in-law Ray Evans; son Randy Rue; and partner Alvera Boschman. A Memorial Service will be held in the Watrous Civic Centre, Watrous, SK, on Saturday, December 9th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harry Strauss officiating. A private family interment in Watrous Cemetery will follow.
