Obituary of David Kriter
On Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Middlesex Terrace, Delaware, David Howard Kriter, of Rodney, passed away at the age of 77. Predeceased by his wife Jacqueline (née Weldon) in 2008. Loving father and grandfather of David B. Kriter (Tamara) and children; Tiffany and Julie, Stephen Kriter (Frances) and children; Evelyn and Andrew, John Giffels (Gail), Judi Tomsons, Jeff Giffels (Lyn) and Brenda MacTavish (John David) and their families. Together, David and Jacqueline shared 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his daughter, Leagh Ellen (1966), brother, Robert Kriter (2015) and by his parents, Edith (née Hux) and Howard Kriter and step-mother Magda (née Karl). David was a member of the West Elgin Masonic Lodge No. 386 A.F. & A.M., Royal Canadian Legion Br. 525, Rodney and past patron of Order of the Eastern Star, Adah Chapter No. 276, Wallacetown. David loved animals and was a passionate football and baseball fan. Satisfied with living a simple life, David enjoyed socializing at the coffee shop, lending a helping hand and going on crop tours to share local history. Above all, his greatest value was his family. The Funeral Service will be held at DENNING’S OF RODNEY, 212 Furnival Road, Rodney (519-785-0810) on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. Visitation will precede the Service for one hour (10-11 a.m.). Interment in Churchville Evangelical Cemetery. Memorial donations to Order of the Eastern Star, Adah Chapter No. 276, Wallacetown or the West Elgin Masonic Lodge No. 386 by cheque would be appreciated by the family.
