Passed away, peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at A.R. Goudie People Care at the age of 68.
Dear father of David (Jennifer) and Meredith Forrest. Grandfather of Skylar, Easton, Emerson, Owen and Leah. Dear brother of Scott (Helen) and Don (Madeleine). David will be also missed and remembered by his very dear and loving friend Nina, his nieces and nephews and aunts, uncles and cousins in Scotland.
Predeceased by his parents William and Jeanie Forrest.
David retired from the University of Waterloo after 23 years of service
David’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm and on Friday from 2:30 – 3:15 pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. The funeral service will take place at 3:30 pm on Friday, January 20, 2017 in the chapel of the funeral home followed by a reception. Special thanks to staff at Riverbend Place and AR Goudie Nursing Home for their excellent care and compassion.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
