Passed peacefully away at home on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. David Maxwell Mercer, age 74 years, in the loving embrace of his wife Marguerite (Peg) (nee Butler). Retired Sargent of RNC. Predeceased by his parents Max and Lorraine Mercer; brothers Paul and Barry; father and mother – in – law Edward and Josephine Butler. Left to celebrate his life his wife Marguerite; brothers William (Gladys) and Malcolm (Gloria); sisters Frances Burke (Albert – deceased), Sandra Mercer; brother – in – law Damian Butler (Judy Lawlor); sisters – in – law Bernice Mercer and Deneka Mercer; special niece Belinda Clark; special friend Fred Reid, also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Wednesday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, September 8, 2017 from Mary Queen of Peace, Torbay Road at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
