The family of Darren Allen Thompson, who was formerly from the
Fredericton, NB area, are saddened to announce his untimely passing on
November 30, 2016. He was born at Fredericton, NB in 1978.
Darren is survived by his mother and father, Allen and Sheila
(McIntyre) Thompson of Harvey Station, NB; his two sisters, Angela
Hodge (Kalvin) and Misty Thompson; his maternal grandparents, Ronnie
and Lorraine McIntyre; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and
nephews.
Darren was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Mary and Seymour
McDermott.
Darren loved his family and friends unconditionally and whole
heartedly. He enjoyed the outdoors and all of the beauty of our
country from coast to coast. Among his interests and love of the
outdoors, he was drawn to water and the fun of fishing, swimming and
boating. Darren’s faith was strong and we know he is with the
Lord Jesus.
A funeral service will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church,
603 Union Street, Fredericton, NB on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 2 p.m.
with Father Monte Peters officiating. A reception will follow in the
church fellowship room.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Hunter, Jason Nowlan, Jeremy
Calhoun, Jon Marshall, Billy Arnold and Dustin Vail.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Darren the family
has suggested a charity of the donor’s choice.
