Darlene Reta Richards
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Darlene Richards, at Bobby’s Hospice on December 1st 2017. Born on March 31, 1944 to the late Roy and Hazel (McArthur) Lindstrom in Ontario.
Darlene was a giving lady; she worked as a nurse for over 40 years and was an active volunteer in her community. She devoted her time volunteering at Bobby’s Hospice, her Church North Side Assembly and throughout the community. Darlene enjoyed spending her time reading, listening to gospel music, partaking in family gatherings and loved being by the sea. Darlene was well known for her caring, loving nature and heart.
Darlene will be dearly missed by her husband James “Jim” Steven Richards of SJ, son James of SJ, daughters; Dawn Mercuri and her husband Andrew of SJ, Amanda Richards of SJ, Andrea Richards of SJ, brother Wayne Lindstrom of BC, sister Sharon Smith and her husband Huntley of BC, 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Bobby’s Hospice for their great and loving care to our family.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 2:00PM at the North Side Assembly Church. Interment will take place at a later date in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Donations to North Side Assembly Church, Bobby’s Hospice or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made at www. Castlefh.com
