Daphne Norman – 2017

NORMAN, Daphne Marion (Hussey) – Passed peacefully away on January 23, 2017 at the Health Sciences Centre. Predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Flora Hussey. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 50 years, Hubert; and her daughters Pamela and Cherisse (Roy Lall); her devoted sisters Doreen (Irving Saunders) and Sylvia (Eric Snow) and brother Barry (Sharon); son-in-law Damian Masterson; her precious grandchildren: Alexander, Chelsea, Julianna and Avery; nieces: Cheryl, Carole, Claudette, Stephanie, Jennifer, Courtney, and Emily; grandnephews: Nick, Shawn, Lucas and Eric. Daphne was a professional educator that taught in an number of Newfoundland communities. In later years, she found fulfillment as an adult educator until her retirement in 2008. A loving wife and mother, she will be greatly missed by a large circle of relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave, St. John’s, on Wednesday, January 25 (7-9pm) and Thursday, January 26 (2-4pm and 7-9pm). Funeral service to be held at St. James United Church on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 2:30pm. Cremation has taken place and interment will occur at a later date.
