Stellarton : Daphne Elizabeth Cameron(Hunt) age 87
of Birch St. Stellarton passed away peacefully on Friday ,Nov
10th 2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital
,New Glasgow.
Born
March 21st ,1930 in Aldershot
,England ,she was the daughter of the late Walter and Jessie (Scollie)
Hunt.
Daphne left England in 1957 with her
mother ,brother and eldest daughter. They settled in the Garden of
Eden where she married her late husband Cammie . They moved to
Stellarton in 1969.
Daphne
worked at McCrae’s Restaurant in New Glasgow for 4 years
. She then went on to work for the Pictou County Vocational
School (later NSCC) where she worked from 1977 until her retirement in
1994.
She is
survived by daughters Zena (Mrs. Robert Vincent ) of
Abercrombie , Claire (Mrs. Forbes Pushie) of Stellarton and
Gail Cameron of Stellarton , grandchildren Tracy (Jose)
Peralta of Stellarton , Stephen Pushie of Stellarton ,
Stephanie Vincent of Abercrombie , great granddaughter Hailey
Pushie of Stellarton, a brother Dennis (Karen) Hunt of
Texas.
As well
as many nieces and nephews
She was
predeceased by her husband James Campbell Cameron (Cammie)
.
Her
remains will rest in the H.W.Angus Funeral Home ,256 King St. New
Glasgow for visitation from 6-9 P.M. on
Tuesday.
Funeral
service will be held on Wednesday at 11 A.M. from the funeral home
chapel with Rev. Falen McNulty
officiating.
Burial
will be in the Valley View Cemetery ,East River St.
Mary’s.
Donations
in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to a
charity of one’s choice.
