Daniel “Danny” George Donovan
1955-2017
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Daniel George
Donovan, husband of Mary Alice Donovan announce his passing, which
occurred peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on February 5,
2017. Born on May 30, 1955 in Saint John, he was the son of
the late Leo C. “Pat” and Mary (Robinson)
Donovan.
Danny was employed by NBLCC since 1974. He enjoyed
woodworking, the great outdoors, hunting, fishing and loved his
motorcycle.
Besides his wife, Alice, he is also survived by his son,
Daniel (Lindsey Alexander) and daughter, Amanda Kellow (George) all of
Saint John and their mother, Brenda; step-daughter, Kari Gautreau
(Ryan) of Nerepis; grandchildren, Tanor and Colby Gautreau; brothers,
Ronnie (Linda) and Leo (Cathy) all of Quispamsis; sisters, Penny
McNamee (John) of Saint John, Patty Donovan of Quispamsis, Teresa
Goldsmith (Mark) of Rothesay, Lynn Marie Ward (Paul) and Martha
Davidson (Peter) both of Riverview, Peggy Ramsey (Frank) of Moncton
and Anna Lamb (Larry) of Cranbrook, BC. In addition to his parents, he
was also predeceased by his niece, Mary Catherine.
Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends
are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held from
Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home
Chapel, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John
(634-7425) on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM and will be
immediately followed by a reception.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of
the donor’s choice.
