Daniel Dan Pope

Daniel “Dan” Pope, of RR#3 Hanover, passed away suddenly at LHSC University Hospital, London, on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. He was 52.
Born in Newmarket on August 22, 1964, to Charles and Ruth (nee Duggan) Pope. Affectionately known to all, he was self-employed with Car-Dan Landscaping and Excavating. He enjoyed getting dirty and getting the job done right. He was quick witted, hard working and big hearted. Common sense was his uncommon quality.
Survived by loving wife Carla Peppler of RR#3 Hanover. Holding special memories in their hearts are his children Annie Pope of Walkerton, Jenn “Peanut” Pope (Scott MacEachern) of Beeton, Aaron Pope (Tory Buehlow) of Durham and Willoughby Peppler-Mann at home and by his children’s mother Marianne Christie of Durham. Devoted grandfather of Megan and Justin. Lovingly remembered by his parents Charles and Ruth (nee Duggan) Pope of Priceville. He will be missed deeply by his sister Debbie (Doug) Meyers of Conn and his nephew A.J. Meyers. His best friend “Sandy” will miss co-piloting around town in his pristinely polished hardware. Predeceased by his sister Lori Pope. Missing you more and more everyday.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00 am, at St. Matthew’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Hanover.
Rev. John Polacok officiating. Cremation to follow.
