Couperus, Egbert – peacefully at Q.H.C. Belleville General Hospital on Friday, November 3rd, 2017, in his 87th year. Son of the late Gerhardus and Alijda Couperus. Beloved husband of Jannie (Jean) Couperus (nee- Vellenga). Dear father of George (Susan) of Belleville, Sid (Sue) of Grimsby, Stuart (Henrietta) of Brighton, Annette Brinkman (John) of Ottawa. Lovingly remembered by 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Brother of George (Grace) of Trenton, Peter of Trenton, Jack (Don) of Toronto. Predeceased by sister Alijda and remembered by her husband Tony, and brother Dirk and remembered by his wife Grace. Arrangements in the care of Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel (613-968-2273) Belleville. Visitation will be held at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 100 College Street W., Belleville on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the church on Tuesday, November 7th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment to be held at Elmwood cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Belleville District Christian School or Quinte Christian High School, would be appreciated.
