Constance “Connie” M. Taylor
1920-2017
It is with great sadness that the family announces the
passing of Constance Muriel (Jarvis) Taylor who passed away at the
Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton NB on September 3,
2017. Born in Devon, NB on July 4th, 1920, Connie was the
daughter of the late Theodore and Muriel (Ferris)
Jarvis.
Connie worked for the Provincial Government in the Vital
Statistics Dept, Natural Resource Dept. and she also worked for the
Dean of Science at UNB Fredericton from where she retired with over 20
years’ service. She was baptized as a young woman
and a member of the Baptist Church. She was also a member of the
Nashwaak Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses as well as a member of
the Women’s Institute. In her retirement she spent her time sewing and
knitting. Her summers were spent at the family cottage in
Grand Lake.
She is survived by her two children Allan Harris (late Ferne)
of Moncton NB and Sue Adams (Paul) Scone Australia, five
grandchildren Mary Harris (Blaine Brooks), Shirley Simkins (Kevin),
Corby Furrow (Allan), Jason Crabb (Theona Roseau) and Meg Healey
(Ryan) as well as five great-grandchildren Shona
and Lindy Cairns, Scott and Grace Simkins and Sophia Crabb.
She is also survived by one sister Jeannie Jarvis and many nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by her husband’s Scott Saunders, Robert
Harris, Hudson Doyle and George Taylor, her brothers Theodore Jarvis,
David Jarvis, Alton Jarvis and Jack Jarvis and sisters Ruth Torgerson
and Lucy Biggar.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton NB (858-1995) on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 2:00 to
3:00 pm, followed immediately by a service to celebrate and honour
Connie’s life at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 pm, with Pastor
David Morehouse officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home
Reception Centre following the service. Interment to be held
in Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery.
Tributes in Connie’s memory may be made to the Journey Church
Moncton or the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. Online condolences
