Constance “Connie” Alma Cunningham
September 30, 1922 – December 2, 2017

CUNNINGHAM, Constance Alma “Connie” – age 95, passed away peacefully at the Mahone Nursing Home on Saturday, December 2, 2017. Born in Kentville, Kings Co., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Gladys (Turner) Walsh. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Brig. Gen. Raymond G.C. Cunningham. She is survived by her children, daughter, Ann (Denis) Falvey of Upper Kingsburg NS; and son, John (Beverley) Cunningham of Mahone Bay; five grandchildren, Tara (Mike) Cunningham, Nelson BC, Matthew Cunningham, Canterbury, UK, Emily (Dino) Falvey, Montreal, Arwen Falvey, Lunenburg , Conor Falvey, Halifax; and four great grandchildren. “Connie” was a graduate of Acadia University. She taught briefly and was a homemaker. Her husband’s military service saw them live in numerous locales across Canada and in Europe. In retirement she was a member of St. John’s United Church in Middleton and was a key participant in the development of the Middleton public library. There will be no visitation. Memorial service and reception will take place at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448. Rev. Karen Ralph officiating, with interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or to Rosa M.
