Passed peacefully away at ICU at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by her loving family after suffering a major stroke. Colleen was approved for and awaiting a lung transplant at Toronto General Hospital. Although she never lived to get her gift of life, she happily gave the gift of life through organ donation. She was so caring and had the kindest heart and a wonderful sense of humour. She was dearly loved by family and friends. Predeceased by her grandparents Steven and Agnes Constantine and Bill and Mary Clancey her father in-law Eric McCormack and by her mother Shirley Constantine Maher. Leaving to mourn her loving and devoted husband Robin who held her hand through everything, her loving and dedicated father Ralph Maher who was by her side always and who she adored, son and daughter Paul and Tara who she loved dearly, grandchildren Paul Jr, Sophia, Kylie, Noah and Ryder. Son in-law Solomon Pitcher. Brother Steven who she loved dearly (Denise), Her sissies Cindy Kelly (Bill), Michelle Maher (Greg), nieces and nephews Nikki, Bradley, Shauna, MaKenzie, Liam and Nicholas. Robins’ family, mother in-law Audrey McCormack, sister in-laws Yvonne, Trudy (Kevin), Gerald (Dallas), Tony (Brenda), Vincent (Kim), Eric (Sandra), Randy and many nieces and nephews. Uncle Shawn Constantine (Sharon), Uncle Tom Clancey (Lorraine), aunts Geraldine Sutton, Madonna Lambert, Judy Hammond (Auntie Mommy) who was a mother, auntie, best friend and confidant who gave Colleen the ultimate love and support, (Colleen loved you beyond measure), aunt Mary Hearn (Harry) and aunt Betty Young (Reg). Also leaving to mourn special friends Dee and Jim Whey, and Colleen Whey, Carrie Barron, Diana Moores, and Paula Brinson as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 2 p.m. from St. John Bosco Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice. We know Colleen is finally resting peacefully in her loving mother’s arms. Please don’t take your organs to heaven. We need them here on earth.
