68, of Hubley passed away peacefully on Friday December 16th at home surrounded by family after a second battle with cancer. Born in Bridgewater she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (Veinotte) Joudrey. Cheryl was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survived by her daughters, Shelley; Natalie (Matthew), both of Timberlea; grandchildren, Taren, Tristan, Grace and Abigail; sister, Isabel(Noble) Veinot of Bridgewater; brother Donnie(Bonnie) Joudrey of Cornwall; and her beloved dog Beau. Predeceased by her husband, Dwight and brother, Lloyd. Most of Cheryl’s working career was with Tingley Insurance until her retirement in 2012. Cheryl was a devoted Christian and active member of the Dorcas Ladies Group at Timberlea Baptist Church. Her faith was her motivation. She was a dedicated shopper making several marathon shopping trips to Bangor with her good friend Trish. Cheryl loved being on the back of a motorcycle, her and Dwight put many miles on their Harley. Summers you would find Cheryl enjoying the family’s cottage on Caribou Lake. That was her happy place. She will be remembered fondly for her kind heart and generous, caring ways and missed by all who loved her. Cheryl’s daughters would like to extend a special thank you to Diann for her devoted care and to Wendy and Bonnie for filling in the gaps and to Cornerstone Naturopathic for their support and generosity. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors 4-6pm Tuesday December 27th in the Ronald A. Walker funeral home, 13549 peggys cove rd upper tantallon. Funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday December 28th in Birch Cove Baptist Church, 50 Donaldson Avenue halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
