Obituary of Charlotte Ferguson
Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Extendicare Halton Hills after a long illness. Beloved wife of the late Duncan Ferguson (1981). Loving mother to Elaine (Bob), Sheila (Dave) and James (Leslie-Ann). Proud and devoted grandmother to Alyssa, Bridget, Cameron, Katie, Megan and Vincent. Charlotte came from a large Irish Catholic family whom she continued to stay in close contact with even after emigrating to Canada from Scotland to marry and raise her own children. She is survived by her two remaining siblings, Fr. James and Sister Ellen. Predeceased by her brothers Tony and Michael and her sisters Mary, Sheila and Margaret. Charlotte had a long dedicated career as a registered nurse. Her favorite times were with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She enjoyed many memorable trips with her siblings . We will miss her very much but are relieved that her suffering is over and she is at peace. Visitation will take place at the J.S. Jones and Son Funeral Home -11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown on Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Holy Cross Parish 14400 Argyll Rd. Georgetown on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer Society or Terry Fox Fund would be appreciated.
