Obituary for Charles Scott
With heavy hearts we mourn the loss of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend and coach. Charles Robert Scott, age 49 passed peacefully after a courageous battle on October 12, 2017, at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Stephanie Scott (Williams); his cherished daughters Ella and Myah; proud parents Gloria and Ian Scott; adoring sister Jennifer, her husband David McLean and his treasured nephews Ethan, Ashton and Nolan. He was also dearly loved by mother-in-law, Jean Williams.
Born in Belleville, Ontario on November 3, 1967, Charles moved to Toronto as a young man where he obtained a degree from York University. Afterwards, he worked for many years for the Government of Ontario, it was during this time he met his wife. Together they moved to Silicon Valley, California where he worked in internet media streaming. For the past 14 years he lived with his wife and two daughters in Markham, Ontario, where he worked as the Director of Software Sales for Comcast Canada.
Charles was an awesome husband and even better father. However, most knew him simply as “Coach” of the sport he loved, basketball. He was a pillar of the community and loved by all. Charles, you are irreplaceable and will be greatly missed.
