Dad loved farming and started off with a few acres of potatoes growing to 30 acres in a few years. Dad added milk cows to his farming and stopped the potatoes but also started working at the La Verendrye Hospital as an ambulance driver than moving to the maintenance department.
After retirement, he wintered in Tucson, Arizona with Rita for more than 20 years. With the passing of Rita on April 8, 2012 and his failing health he was moved to Rainycrest Long Term Care in January of 2013. Charlie enjoyed the variety of activities in Rainycrest. He especially enjoyed the Wednesday and Sunday chapel services. He appreciated all those who came to visit, but when the cafeteria doors opened, it was time to eat.
Charlie’s faith in the Lord remained strong to the end.
