Obituary for Charles William Aubin
It is with broken hearts and a profound sense of loss that we say farewell to Charlie. Born in Banff AB, he spent his childhood and young adulthood surrounded by loving family and amazing friends. Charlie continued his education at U.B.C, Vancouver. He met his wife in 1962 at Sunshine Village where he was teaching skiing. In the spring of 1963, he worked for the DPW testing labs until 1968, when he moved his family to Calgary, working at Amoco Petroleum for 20 years. Charlie was predeceased by parents Mabel and Bill, and brother Roy. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marilee; his cherished daughters Angele and Teresa, and extra special son-in-law Lothar. Charlie was always the proud grandfather to Nicole, Nicholas, Jordan, Haley, and Joshua. Also surviving are one sister Fern, 3 nieces, and 4 nephews. Our family would like to thank the incredible staff at the Bow View Manor where Charlie resided the last 10 months. In honoring Charlie’s request, there will be no funeral service. If so desired, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Calgary. 800-7015 Macleod Trail S.W. Calgary AB T2H-2K6.
