Charles Douglas Cottrell
Charles Douglas Cottrell, longtime resident of Grande Prairie, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the age lf 82 years.
Doug was born October 12, 1935 in Lloydminster, SK.
He will be greatly missed by his daughters: Deborah (Clint), and Lisa (Jim); sons: Craig and Derrick; 5 grandchildren: Marissa and Merrick (Lindsay) Storie, Gaetes and Sam Lomas, and Caden Cottrell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Doug is survived by his sisters: Margaret Veidt and Barbara (Terry) Price; and brother Ron (Brenda) Cottrell.
Doug was predeceased by his beloved wife Marguerite, father Percy Cottrell, mother Olive Cottrell, and brother in-law Charles Veidt.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service in celebration of Doug’s life will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2017, at 1:00pm, at the Royal Canadian Legion in Grande Prairie (9912 101 Ave.).
The family wishes to thank Dr. Maxwell, Crystal Garton, and all the incredible staff at the Points West Hospice.
