Life Story for Carrie Miller
Carrie Ann Miller was born as Isabelle Blackbird on July 25, 1968 in Turtleford Hospital to Lillian and George Blackbird. She was the second youngest. Carrie was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Bill Neufeld in Meadow Lake, SK. She lived in Meadow Lake most of her life. She married Kevin Miller of Meadow Lake. They started a family together and raised four kids. Carrie moved to B. C. where she spent her remaining years with her special friends, Rick Smith.
Carrie enjoyed reading, dancing, singing, and watching Sopranos and Veggie Tales. She was involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren and other family members. She was interested in learning her culture, she loved to bake, play cards and bingo and going for walks. Carrie enjoyed going to church and traveling. She touched many lives with her compassion, love, care and empathy for people of all races. Carrie will be well remembered for her humor. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
Carrie leaves to mourn: her children, Lynn-Ann Currie of B.C., Elizabeth (Gordon Falcon), Debbie Weinie (Dawn), Jonathan Miller (Kaylan) Omeasoo, and Jade Miller (Kain O.) all of North Battleford; her grandchildren, Brandyn, Credence, Curry, Adreanna, Wesley, Natalie and Lil John Miller of North Battleford; her sisters, Laurraine (Ab) Standingwater, Lorna Blackbird (Harsley), Kathy Warkentin, Georgina Blackbird (Rod G.), Ruby Blackbird, Agnes Martell, Rhonda Moostoos, Carol Lewis; her adopted sisters, Clara and Carol; her brothers, Danny Warkentin, Curtis Opekokew (Laura), Wesley Blackbird, Philip and Norman Martell, and Howard and Adrian Runningaround; her uncles, Harry and William Blackbird.
She was predeceased by: her biological parents, George and Lillian Blackbird; her adopted parents, Bill and Elizabeth Neufeld; her grandparents, Bill and Isabel Paddy, and Mr. and Mrs. Jackpine Blackbird; her aunts, Georgina Paddy, Josephine Jack, and Agnes Paddy; her nephew, Sheldon Standingwater; her grandson, Ronnie King; her sisters, Brenda and Joanne Partridge; and her brother, Winston Blackbird Partridge.
